Allen is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley, specializing in Structural Engineering and Materials Mechanics (SEMM). His primary research focuses on structural health monitoring, with a particular emphasis on implementing fiber optic sensing technology in various structural systems, including solar PV panels and stabilized soil structures. Prior to his doctoral studies, he obtained his M.S. degree from UC Berkeley and his B.S. degree from National Taiwan University.
