Yanglan Wang is a Ph.D. student at UC Berkeley advised by Prof. Kenichi Soga. Prior to this, She obtained a bachelor’s degree in information management from North China Electric Power University (Beijing) and a master’s degree in Control Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University.
Her research interest lies in traffic control, optimization, and simulation. She did research on vehicle ride-sharing algorithms, fire evacuation algorithms, and micro-traffic simulation previously. She recently explored how to apply reinforcement learning to optimize traffic by incorporating communication between different agents. She is also interested in visualization methods and game design.
Research Interest:
- Fire evacuation algorithm
- Traffic microsimulation
