Parker Blunts is PhD student in Civil and Environmental Engineering: GeoSystems Engineering at UC Berkeley. His work utilizes geophysical surveys and laboratory testing to characterize the physical and mechanical properties of rocks in order to better understand their potential impact on critical infrastructure with a focus on landsliding. He earned a MS (2020) in GeoSystems Engineering from UC Berkeley, a BSCE (2019) in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington, and BS (2019) in Earth and Space Science: Geology from the University of Washington. Outside of the laboratory you can find Parker spending time with his dog, riding motorcycles, or backcountry skiing.
