    Liankang Zhou is a Ph.D. student in Systems Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, working with Prof. Kenichi Soga at the Center for Smart Infrastructure. He received his undergraduate degree through the Zhejiang University–University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute (ZJUI) joint dual-degree program.

    His research lies at the intersection of intelligent infrastructure, artificial intelligence, robotics, computer vision, and digital twin technologies. He explores how emerging technologies, including autonomous systems, robotic sensing platforms, and machine learning approaches, can be applied to infrastructure inspection, monitoring, and maintenance. His current research focuses on developing low-cost sensing systems and intelligent data-driven frameworks for analyzing large-scale infrastructure data, enabling more efficient, automated, and reliable infrastructure management.
