Jaewon’s Presentation at IMAGE’23 Conference

Jaewon presented her research “Hydraulic fracture stage identification and size estimation using distributed strain and temperature sensing” at The International Meeting for Applied Geoscience & Energy conference in Houston, Texas on August 30th, 2023. In this work, Jaewon worked with our colleages at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Rice University, and SM Energy to assess the use of Brillouin-based Distributed Strain Sensing (DSS) and Raman-based Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) for monitoring the hydraulic fracturing process and assessing the resulting fracture system.
