    Han Liu is a Ph.D. candidate specializing in Structural Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, Han possesses a robust academic background, having earned a Bachelor’s degree at Wuhan University, China, and a Master’s degree at the University of California, Berkeley. Under the mentorship of Professor Matthew DeJong, his research is devoted to pushing the boundaries of structural health monitoring. The core of Han’s research centers on the practical application of distributed fiber optic sensors to assess and enhance the resilience and safety of structural systems. With a deep commitment to introducing innovative solutions to this field, he harnesses the latest technological advancements to ensure the longevity and dependability of critical infrastructure.
