Professor Dimitrios Zekkos, CSI co-director, is the editor of the new Manual of Practice in Geoenvironmental Engineering (MOP 159) published by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The manual was developed under the auspices of the Geoenvironmental Engineering Technical Committee of ASCE’s Geo-Institute, and is the first Manual of Practice published by the Geo-Institute.
The comprehensive manual is titled “Geoenvironmental Engineering: Site Contaminant Characterization, Containment Facilities, Solid Waste Materials, and Contaminated Ground Interventions,” designated as “Manual of Practice (MOP) 159”, and serves as a consensus document of the state of practice in geoenvironmental engineering.
