On Friday, February 20, 2026, CSI in collaboration with EBMUD and Carollo hosted the second annual Infrastructure Hazard Resilience Workshop at UC Berkeley. Over 230 participants gathered in person and on-line to focus on the urgent challenges facing the infrastructure industry and the work to design, test, and operate more resilient systems. The program included presentations and a panel discussion on wildfire resilience planning, efforts to guide hazard-resilient infrastructure, a 4-point bending test of a 16-inch hazard-resilient ductile iron pipe, and a tour of remote sensing technologies and applications. With CSI’s innovative research and the combined expertise of utilities and industry partners, the workshop fostered collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and actionable insights.
